Here's one more tip from a fledgling inlay artist...
When you do get to the point where your inlays fit tightly, lay a piece of dental floss across the recess the inlay will go into before test fitting the inlay. If it's the nice, tight fit you're hoping for, the floss will make it easier to remove before making your final adjustments. If you really prefer pressing the inlay into epoxy, I really recommend using the mars black pigment to color the epoxy. It's readily available and it's cheap. |
