Default What Hummingbird is Mick Jagger Playing?

Is this a current production Hummingbird Vintage Vintage Cherry Burst or older standard? The color of this was is beautiful not so bright red like I am youse to seeing. Does the cherry burst tend to darken as it ages?

This does not look Vintage.

I am going to guess. It’s a 2017 Gibson Hummingbird Vintage with torrified top. The color and bridge seems exactly right. I owned one.

Great guitar.

Dunno, but I once bought an Epihone Frontier, that the West end sales guy told me had previously been owned by Mick.

(It was terrible).

If you have a better eye than me, you may spot a similarity or difference in one of the pictures on this site:

Good luck!

If it is a newer Vintage model, the truss rod cover has been replaced.

I noticed this also. Throws me off because the paint looks exactly like a vintage and not a older standard.

In recent years he’s taken to playing acoustic guitar on a couple of numbers in their set. In the concert documentary directed by Martin Scorcese a few years back he used an acoustic for two songs, I think it was, though in that film he had a Taylor, not a Gibson.

I don't think he takes classes. hE PLAYS GUITAR ALREADY in that 60's brittish movie wich name has slipped my mind. He is credited as a guitarplayer on at least one of Harry Nilssons records. Acording to kieth hes a good drummer to.

You mean probably French movie Sympathy for the Devil by Jean-Luc Godard made in 1968. Yes, he plays Hummingbird in the beginning of the movie. Keith plays Hummingbird, too. And Brian Jones plays J-200.
