Default Computer Help Please

Could anyone tell me how I can stop my desktop Mac from repeatedly typing the same letter over and over again even when I’m not typing anything? It just keeps typing the letter “m.” I have restarted, rebooted, unplugged and replugged in the keyboard and nothing seems to work. It’s an Apple keyboard too.

I believe keyboards still function by capacitance. In that there is no hard connection of a typical switch. It's more of a foil type switch and takes little contamination to close that circuit. If contamination existed, the circuit might not close at all. Bounce on that "M" key and nothing happens? Dirt, cat hair, and etc.. Repeats could be just a stuck key from greasy kids stuff.

I had that problem once and it was a stuck button. Once it was pulled out and put back in it's worked fine ever since. FYI my cat did it by walking on my key board.

Try blowing it with compressed air. Turn it upside down at pat the back. If that doesn’t work press hard on the m key. Or pull the key cap.
