Wow - you might be the winner. We'll have to wait and see.

You've been to the Avenir Centre? My father had seasons tickets to the Moncton Golden Flames for a few years in the mid-80s so I saw about 100 games at the old Coliseum. Calgary Flames and Boston Bruins joint farm team.

Oakland Coliseum (XFL Invaders)
Lambeau Field (Packers game, from the sidelines as a photographer)
Candlestick Park (Giants, never could get 49's tickets, Joe Montana era)
Briggs Field (the old Tiger Stadium)
Joe Louis Arena (hockey tournament)
Michigan Speedway (NASCAR)
Michigan Stadium Ann Arbor (Ohio State game and others)
What a fantastic rivalry (although one sided the last few years) and crowd atmosphere at the OSU/Michigan games. 100,000+ people show up.

I'd love to see Darlington, Talladega, and Bristol. Especially prior to the new NASCAR - back in the good ole' days, when they raced "Southern Style".

Yep. Been to the Avenir. Moncton hosted Chicoutimi. I drove w/a friend from Boston, to Moncton, via the Cape. Slept in our car (October - no lodging/off season) in Port Hood, home of Al Macinnes. Also got to cross the mighty Confederation Bridge into PEI. It was a glorious road trip! I still have both the Wildcats and Sagueneens pucks I got that night. Always had a soft spot for the Sagueneens!

Brett Hull play for the old Golden Flames. So did Randy Burridge, Bob Sweeney, Gary Roberts, Neil Sheehy, Bill Ranford, Pat Riggin... Your dad saw some good hockey back then - and plenty of scraps!

What a great trip! Yes, I went to 36 out of the 40 home games the season that Brett Hull become the first AHL rookie to score 50 goals in a season. Joel Otto was my favorite player and Mike Vernon was there as well. Yes, lots of fights and some bench clearing brawls back in those days.

You seem to have traveled a similar path as I, from NY to "elsewheres"! When were you at Memorial Stadium/KU? That's my alma mater!

We did a road trip from Ames to Lawrence in October 1974. One fellow rented an RV and we stuffed it with as many students as we could. Overnighted in a Lawrence McDonald's parking lot.

ISU scored early and often

Before my time at KU, but the Cyclones have scored early and often against KU, many times in the recent past. One fo the best basketball rivalries, still. I always liked the Cyclones - my son had both a KU and Iowa State t-shirt, as a little guy (he's 17 now). I kept both for my someday grandson! (my daughter's also wore both t-shirts, as my son grew!)
