I have zero problems with the tele and I think it sounds very good too with stock PUs.

The LP style guitar with P90's sounds amazing. It might be favorite of all my electrics sound wise. But, the finish has started to chip. I mean literally chip... there are little divots in the finish. But, I really don't care as it's so cheap. Like I said it sounds great.

Just wanted to let you know the QC... it's a little hit and miss.
Thanks for the update, Rob. The main thing is that they sound great. I wonder if the LP finish chipping will give the guitar an aged look? Perhaps it'll look like a well played guitar with lots of mojo ... or it'll look cheap (as you put it).

Thanks Dru. Yeah, I guess it adds mojo. If they weren't chips it would be more "mojoish" though. As I said, I really don't care much. I mean if the guitar was 10x's more expensive, I would. But, I love the way it sounds. It's really crunchy and dirty.

I have a Harley Benton blue LP DC JR on order. The blue is a custom order. It will probably be June-July before I get it. I don't plan ahead to make any changes. A small change will probably be a significant % of the price. I will give it a good few months playing time to see how things go.

BTW; the back of the head stock in the pic of the guitar I ordered says "made in Indonesia." I don't think this means made in China or it would says so. Of course I don't know for sure.

Congrats! I have 3 HBs, an SC450 and SC400, both with the goldtop finish, and a TE 52 with the natural finish. The two Lp clones are both very nice, my 450 has P 90s and the 400 has the uncovered humbuckers. I don’t play the P90 one much because I have a couple other guitars with those, but the 400 plays like butter and I really dig the stock pickups, they’re different than any of my other humbucker guitars. The TE52 is simply amazing for the $130 or so it cost, 20 years ago I never would have imagined being able to get a nice guitar for that kind of money! It’s just a gorgeous guitar, and is built like a tank, way heavier than either of the LP clones.

That's my thinking as well but I generally attribute that to my being far less knowledgable about the electric side of the guitar world...
