I'm enjoying the stories in here. These are great.
My Dad bought me a Taylor 114e 10 years ago and I will never sell that. I have an old Squier Telecaster standard that I played all over the SE for a couple decades. It stays. My Gibson L-130 is now busted, unfortunately, but it was a lifetime keeper for sure. I played it all over the SE for about 15 years. Everything else could come or go. I have no attachments to them other than I like them. I don't sell much these days, preferring to bond with anything I acquire.

My 1998 Fender American Standard Stratocaster with an ash finish and clear coat to show of the simple beauty of the wood. It was an engagement gift from my wife.
My 2006 Larrivee OM-03R was a surprise gift from 22 online friends who looked their funds together before crowdfunding was even a thing. The guitar is a model I pined over for some time and they made it a reality. After 14 years it’s like a part of me. My 2012 McKnight Ukulele that I won at the McKnight’s annual jam. My 2013 mahogany/western red cedar medium jumbo that John Kitchen and Tim McKnight helped me build over the course of 4 years. It’s my first build so I have to keep it. It’s also finally found its voice.

Those in a my signature. The 56 is definitely not going anywhere, and I have zero plans to ever get rid of my RainSong. If I did it would probably be for a McPherson Sable, but I would never be without at least 1 carbon acoustic.

 My '46 Gibson LG2. If the house was burning down, not a hesitation of what I'd grab. I've told my kids when I'm gone, all the other guitars, bikes, skis should go to those who'll enjoy them. But keep the Gibson in the family. The bond is deep.

My 2010 Santa Cruz d/prewar Is still one of the best guitars I’ve ever played. I don’t know why but tonally it still surpasses guitars that are worth double the amount. I also have my grandads 1920’s or 30s Kay which I can never part with.

Or none of them. I've rotated my guitar collection over the last few years, so while I've never been happier with what I have, nothing is off the table, if my mind were to change in the future. The guitars I had when I was younger were not nearly the same quality, and they held no sentimental value, so they're long gone. With the guitars I have today, I imagine some of them will stick with me as long as I'm still playing, and I'll eventually offer them to my kids. The rest will be sold whenever the time is right. That being said, there are some amazing guitars here, and some great stories too, so it makes sense for you to hang onto those beautiful instruments.
