Default NGD X 2 - one is priceless :)

Both Guitars were an impulse buy and I could not be happier.
First up is a priceless find at a local yard sale.
Brand – First Act
Year – Unknown and don’t care
Wood - no clue and it doesn’t matter.
Sound- Surprisingly it plays in tune, and the intonation is acceptable (once I put new strings on it). But most important – the Smiles that it brings to my Daughter (2 years old this August)
It is the first thing she grabs in the morning. Eventually, if the love continues she would get an upgrade.

Next up – A Furch Red OM-CR DB
It is not a priceless guitar but it does bring a smile to my face. It’s an amazing instrument with a crystal clear harmonically rich and balanced tone. It is very different tonally then my others guitars (mostly dreads). First, the cedar top gives it a darker texture them my spruce top guitars. Second, the amount of overtones kinda gives it a naturally built in reverb that fills the room. Time will tell if it’s a keeper but for now it Im enjoying it almost as much as my daughter enjoys her new guitar

Pics are from the Vendor

Congrats. I expect that great pix of your daughter holding her guitar will be very cherished over the years. [emoji846]

Great pictures. The little ones grow too fast, enjoy every minute.

You just had to buy another Furch and make the rest of us drool, didn't you? Cedar and rosewood is on my radar.

I hear ya. Feels like yesterday we brought her home from the hospital.

The Furch was mostly an impulse buy, but part of it was a “fear of loss” buy. There is a transition coming to Furch USA and certain guitars will not be kept in stock, so I grabbed it.

I agree the pictures of your daughter and her guitar are priceless. Congratulations!

Oh, you also got a guitar? That's nice too.

My youngest just turned 30 last month - my oldest is nearly 32 and it felt like last week that we brought HER home from the hospital. You haven’t even begun to see time fly yet. It’s tiring when they’re little, but hold onto those minutes. I can tell by this thread that you have your head on very straight about what matters. Enjoy BOTH of those guitars! Hopefully she’ll still be into it in 20 years. Neither of mine picked up my love of guitar but my oldest picked up my love of bicycling and my youngest is a more accomplished musician (piano) than I’ll ever be...

Wonderful pick of your daughter. I would love my son to get into guitar at some point but he is very much in the dinosaur phase at the moment! I have a daughter on the way any day now.

Congrats on the furch it is stunning, they make some of the best OMs around IMO. Love my OM32.

Congratulations on all accounts, Mb! Beautiful... The Furch is great, but the little one is the cutest!

Once upon a time there was another cute little blonde girl whose daddy bought her a guitar when she was young:

Hang on, Dad - it's going to be a long, rough, and expensive ride...

Well, if that’s the path she follows then I will make the sacrifices that are needed, while encouraging an education. Plus I already have a few nice guitars she can pick from. But she can’t have my Vintage 3 SR, at least while I live and breath.
