Default Changing bass and treble strings separately?

I'm using Aquila Rubino and they sound wonderful after a few weeks. However, it's clear that the bass strings are likely to die way quicker than the trebles (which look like they may well last forever!). Is it common practice to change bass strings more frequently than trebles?
