A friend of mine had all the previous seasons loaded in a usb stick, and me and the wife binge-watched it.

I think this show easily dethrones The Sopranos as the greatest TV show ever made.
I was hooked from the very first show. In fact, the first scene hooked me. I've been watching since the pilot and have never even missed one week watching it live.

Jon seemed more surprised by to learn he is the heir to the Iron Throne than realizing he's been doing the horizontal mumbo with his Auntie.

Same same. 5 minutes in and I was hooked.

I'm not even totally sure he realized that yet!

He's more a Jon than an Aegon.

Default They seem to have slashed the lighting budget

That was the darkest accumulation of scenes I've seen in a long time.

I couldn't get into it due to the long gaps between seasons. But we started binge-watching it about 3 months ago and watched all 60+ episodes and got badly hooked on it.

The season 7 finale was unbelievable!

So we were primed for season 8, and were NOT disappointed with episode 1. Great stuff!

I binge watched it last year from the library but we don't have HBO so I'm going to have to wait at least another year for it to come out on DVD too - much the same as I do with Star Trek Discovery. I just can't justify the cost for one show and a whole lot of other stuff I can get for free elsewhere.

It took me awhile to get into it early on but I think Sean Bean drew me in. If there's one thing about that guy though, he has a knack for signing on to play characters that look confused right before they get offed. I just wish they had had him reprise his role for flashbacks in S7. If they could make Kurt Russell and Michael Douglas look young again then why not Bean? He's been craggy looking his entire life! The younger actor they hired didn't quite seem to have the same aire. Kit Harrington seems to have perfected it though.

My favorite character (beside Peter Dinklage) is the guy who plays Bronn. He has had quipped some serious gems over the years lol!

Wait 'till it's about over, and you could just sign up for HBO Now for a month and binge it.

I love it, but I still don't "get" which house is whose and who are the baddies and the goodies etc.

Never mind, it's great fun.

Most of the bad guys are still alive, though some are now "good." Some are missing parts or have a few scars to show for it though. Cersie is still bad though. Sorry for the spoilers.

Good one! She has to meet some horrible end. That's as good as any...

Wow! That would actually be amazing! I can see that happening!

I wonder who the Ice King is...one of the Targaryens?
