I was off on the 'Canes, but spot-on, with the Blues. Pulling for Berube and the Boys to win one for the fans in Dogtown, where I once lived.

Game 1 doesn't start until Monday. What to do about hockey during this break.

That's nice of them to give us the weekend to rest up for the SC Finals.

I remember the last time they met St. Louis at the dance. There's a statue outside 'Boston' Garden commemorating Bobby Orr flying through the air (he was tripped) after scoring the game/series/Stanley Cup winner in OT. Don .

Paul Henderson scored the game winner in the 8th and final game in the final minute which clinched the Cold War series for Canada 4-3-1 (there was a tie game in there). Probably the biggest goal in Canadian history. Those last 4 games were played in the Soviet Union and things got very tense.

Memorial Cup Final is today! That's Canada's Junior hockey tournament and it's the league that players get drafted into the NHL. The US also has some teams in the league. Halifax, Nova Scotia is the host city and they're also in the final against Rouyn-Noranda Huskies (out of Quebec).
Go Halifax Mooseheads! Don't know if I can catch the game here in Oregon (I'm here for business) but perhaps an ESPN channel has it. It's great hockey. |

Boston is not stupid, they know full well it will be a tough fight and they are not going to sweep. Ha-ha. Re-read the third sentence in paragraph above. I hope the series is as entertaining in reality as it seems to be in potential. The puck just dropped for Game 1. See ya.
