Knobloch Actives - Medium Tension Trebles
I saw posts that are a few years old about these strings with some good responses
Has anyone tried them lately? I'm curious what they sound and feel like when compared to Savarez Alliance normal trebles Dave

I have the medium/high tension Knobloch Active trebles on my Cordoba Cadete. I wanted a florocarbon string with a bit warmer tone then most florocarbon. The deliveries beautifully (I've had 4 different string sets on this guitar ) and I like them so much they will go on my Cordoba C10.

Of the carbon strings I have played Knobloch are my favourite and now you have many choices of tensions.
I have the medium tensions installed on my mum's and my mother in law's classical guitars. They sound good! I started off with Savarez Alliance trebles (HT g, & b, MT e), but came to prefer knobloch. The switch was a while back now and I did try other strings like Hannabach Goldin, so it is harder for me to remember the details. I would just try them as a cheap experiment and let us know how your perceive the difference. Being carbon strings that are not radically different to the Alliance trebles.

Thanks for the feedback... Just placed an order with SBM for a couple sets of trebles to trial.
Most nylon string trebles feel too fat for my personal tastes. After many years playing steel string world, the Savarez Alliance smaller string diameter really appeals to my left hand. Perhaps, because of the slightly narrower width neck, I prefer high tension trebles on the GK Pro. Whereas the C-10's slightly wider neck seems to play better with normal tension trebles.

Knobloch Active CX mediums are my favorite fluorocarbon strings, though I
myself prefer nylon except for the third string. The Knoblochs sound warmer to me than the Alliances, and the tension feels lower as well. |

I just got a set of medium tension CX active trebles and I like the sound quite well. Do be aware that they are REALLY slippery. They defy tying! The high e even managed to wriggle out of a tie block!
