Default So what are you working on now?

Two short pieces by Handel, arrangements by our Bert Alink. Here's Bert playing them:

HWV 491:

HWV 494:

I'm going to compose a few more short pieces, I feel it coming on, and I'll probably do some more of Stephen Wake's tunes also. I have tons of arrangements and lessons on my computer and with all this spare time I should start making a dent in all of it.

Those both are beautiful. I've been struggling through an arrangement of Cheek to Cheek that I'm finding challenging yet really rewarding (that's not me playing)

I am working on, Andecy, by Andrew York. Really over my head with regard to playing it up to tempo, but have at least gotten the entire song under my fingers after working on it diligently for the past few weeks.

That looks challenging!

Nice. I may have to track down the notation for that!

Two pieces by Joseph Kuffner. I was somewhat surprised to find YouTube videos of others playing them. Plus Mississippi John Hurt’s “You Got to Walk That Lonesome Valley” arranged by Toby Walker.

Fine tuning Pete Huttlinger’s arrangement of Water is Wide.

A new Celtic tune, arrangement by Tony McManus, Mornings at Boony Doon, composed by Andre Marchand.

Mark Hanson’s arrangment of Gordon Lightfoot’s If You Could Read My Mind.

The three above get the most time, lots of others in the playing rotation too.

Life is good despite the Covid 19 crisis. Stay safe and healthy.

This lesson for "She Talks to Angels" is in standard tuning, which I like.

The rhythm of this tune is kind of hard for me to get right. Lot of space in the strumming.

Lol. But honestly speaking, it has been terribly painful: mentally and physically. I doubt I will ever be able to correct my hand to my liking but at least it will be more optimal.

working on getting down 3 new ones of mine. Two are pretty well set and have been around for a while, just need to fine tune for recording....watch for,:
-"September Cool"
-"Sweet Nothings"

Just composed a new one yesterday.....it's got a ways to go, so we'll see.....it's called "A Hymn for Change"........kind of came to me given the times we're in.

Time will tell when these are posted on AGF, but that's what's working right now!

Just an old Chris Isaak tune, Baby did a bad bad thing, it's the combination of low e strumming the g-a-e rift and trying to phase it correctly is an handful of learning and growing as a singer/player...
