Yamaha Red Label FSX5 2019 - $1000
Selling a like-new Yamaha FSX5. This guitar punches WAY above its weight class and is honestly as good a few of the higher end 00 and 000 Martins I've owned, at less than half the price. Only selling to consolidate and free up some funds. There's one very tiny blemish on the top which can barely be seen/felt, but I managed to capture it in a photo and point it out. Other than that, it's as new - zero fret wear or blemishes of any kind, and still has the plastic on the preamp knobs. Setup out of the box is one of the best I've seen from a factory build - it's extremely playable with zero issues pertaining to fret wear, buzzing, nut depth, etc.
Price is $1000 for AGF members (net to me) shipped within the CONUS. Don't let its size or price deceive you — the FSX5 delivers a playing experience that holds its own against some industry heavyweights. Its body is built from a choice cocktail of solid tonewoods — dynamic Sitka spruce on warm, rich mahogany — with a top that has been visually and tonally optimized using Yamaha's A.R.E aging process and Modified Scalloped bracing. Together, these yield a developed and mature tone that is sure to put a smile on any seasoned fingerstylist or flatpicker's face. The FSX5 is ready to rock the stage or practice space, with Atmosfeel electronics for a stellar plugged-in sound. A "V" headstock, an eye-catching semi-gloss finish, a deluxe wood pickguard, and a tone-enhancing bone nut and saddle round out this price-defying package. Step into a new era of Yamaha's celebrated FS guitars — experience for yourself the Red Label FSX5 acoustic-electric guitar. Just measured - 1 3/4" nut, 2 3/16" bridge spacing. I keep picking this guitar up and having second thoughts about selling it.
