2001 Gibson Advanced Jumbo **SOLD**
*SOLD to forum member! Thanks everyone!*
Recently got this guitar in a trade with a forum member, but have found that I prefer the mahogany/short scale of a J-45. A couple light pick scratches above the soundhole, but other than that, this is a very clean, 18-year old Gibson that sounds massive. Gibson apparently makes far fewer AJs than other acoustics each year, in keeping with the spirit of the original instruments, and even fewer that are non-sunburst. Has a K&K mini installed. Includes nice guardian HSC. I believe trade value is right at $2000, will sell for $1700. Looking for something with mahogany B/S, with a southern Jumbo or J-45 or 50 being my preference. I would also consider a larger-sized Baxendale conversion guitar, or solid candidate for the conversion process + cash. Last edited by rc3797; 04-20-2019 at 10:13 PM. |

If you were closer I’d have loved for us to each try out each other’s guitars... I have a J50
