Beautiful work, as usual Jimmy. Will you sunburst these?

Steve

Default Ken Franklin Guitars

I'm thinking of bringing this double cutaway in Adirondack and striped ebony.

Steve,

Both will be bursts, not sure what type yet. I'm toying with the idea of a late 20's style - hand rubbed on the 00. I love the look of the old Gibson bursts, quite a different look from the sprayed version. The mandolin is built along the lines of a violin, so I'll probably do something a little different on that one also. Any other Texas builders coming that you know of?

Hi Jimmy, luthiers represented by the fine state of TX () besides you are Steve Kinnaird and Lame Horse Guitars.

OH YEAH! Ken, that is just stunning.
The rosette is riding the perfect line between modernist and classic.

Hope to see it there!
Cheers,
Martin

Wink

Thanks everyone. It's a pretty good bet that I'll bring it, unless of course I sell it first.

Default Workshop - Richard Smith

I just got a video from my friend Richard Smith on Fingerstyle Orchestration. Take a look, some of the best 4 minutes a music lover could spend...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xDmZVckZiQ. Watch it to the end...it just keeps getting better!
