Midi adapter question
Arggggg
Called 2 companies for help and the rep said they have no solution. Is there a midi adapter that would go from a USB - B (square- like a printer plug) to a 9 pln plug. I want to go from a key board to a Fireface UCx I also need a 5 pin (midi out) to 9 pin midi adapter Can anyone point me in the right direction

I've never heard of a USB to MIDI adapter, only the other way. You should be able to plug from the keyboard directly into your computer, bypassing the Fireface.

The USB MIDI keyboard should connect directly to your computer via a standard USB cable (type A to type B printer cable). You may also need to download and install the MIDI drivers/software from the keyboard manufacturer's website.
Your RME Fireface UCX should have come with two nine pin MIDI breakout cables in the box that convert those to two standard (5 pin) MIDI inputs and outputs. This is per the RME Fireface UCX owner's manual.
