The Cowboy/Buc's game was a great way to start off the season. I was surprised the offence on both sides seemed ready at game one. Kinda thought the defense would have an edge at this point. The Dak is back and Brady is Brady. Here we go! The Pats open tomorrow and I am already on the edge of my seat. I don't know what to expect. I will try to stay calm and tell myself it is just sports but I am a bit excited for the game. Good luck to all you sport freaks as tomorrow comes and goes! Let's see how it all shakes out week one!

Wow, I didn't realize that, Drew. They're just kids!

And Daniel Jones for the giants is 24, Jalen Hurts with the Eagles is 23, Dak is 28. Of course Ryan fitzpatrick at 38 does drag the curve up.

Justin fields of the Bears is a rookie, as is the 49ers Trey Lance, although they are not starters (yet.)

Some potentially good young QBs out there...

I agree. Lot's of young QB's in the mix. I think history shows that some make it in a big way and others don't make it over the learning or experience hump. It's certainly a lot to handle at a young age walking into the NFL. The Patriots have chosen a rookie at QB. I like him and he seems to have the right mindset coming in. I also think the team and the coaching and the play calling have a lot to do with a youngsters progress. Sort of make or break as the NFL is unforgiving and fast.

They are kids, wealthy kids now. I remember collecting sports cards when I was a kid. When I turned 18 I came to a realization that the NHL draft picks and some first year players in my card sets were my age. That's when I thought I was getting older. How perception changes with age.

Lots of young talented QBs. It'll be interesting to see who will be stars and who will be busts.

What's also interesting is to see how Trey Lance does compared to Mac Jones over the next couple of years. San Francisco traded up to get Jones only to change their minds and take Lance at #2.

Mac Jones looking good, but so is Tua. NE defense seems a bit porous.

I think he was scheduled to do an Insurance commercial today. Is that a problem?

Alright, The Patriots lost today. I am not upset (too much) as our young quarterback held his own and did well. That is good. I won't get into the defense and unfortunate offensive penalties and turnovers. It was after all week one. I wouldn't want to be in coach Bill's team meeting tomorrow. But all in all I can live with it.

True, but it's odd you mention Fitzpatrick while not mentioning the most obvious oldest QB who is TB 12 at 44.

Mac Jones played amazingly well today for the Pats. He was accurate and had touch. I'm most amazed by his decision making and his movement in the pocket. He really looked like a vet and I'm amazed it was his first game.

He only really made a few tiny mistakes and played well enough to win that game. Turnovers and penalties let him down.

Defense needs some work. I think Mac did the job very well. It was penalties and turnovers what killed us. That last fumble sealed the deal.

The Packers were on the old exhibition schedule of 4 games I think.

At least the rest of the NFC North lost. However, every team in the league scored more than 3 points.
