Lurk & Learn
I'm an infrequent poster (spelled mostly lurker). My musical journey has been enlightened 10 fold by the sharing of knowledge, experiences and advice on this form. Most recently I decided to put a pick up in a Larrivee D09 and turned to the forum to see what folks liked. After reading many, many posts I decided to give the K&K pure mini a try. I didn't like the thought of me drilling a hole in the guitar so I had it installed professionally. ($50) Plugged it into a Loudbox mini amp and could not believe my ears. What a great sound! I have a pre amp available but it doesn't really need it. Now I'm thinking about putting the K&K in all my dreads.
Great product, great advice from forum users. Thank you! |

Yep, there's a ton of good info and people on here, and it sounds like you got yourself a great sounding set-up there. Plus I'm a big Larrivee fan, too... Enjoy!

Glad to hear it's worked out for you. I have K&K in all but one of my acoustics. If you get a chance to do an A-B with/without a preamp comparison, I'd recommend you try it. You might like the sound even better ... or not. I think the preamp improves the sound in mine. For you maybe not but worth a try if you can beg or borrow one.
