Try the Sonicake
I grabbed this cheap ($85) four effects small pedal to see if I liked it. I do.
It has delay, reverb, chorus and best of all, distortion. All work well with my acoustics. The tone is adjustable as are the normal settings for these effects. For an easy way to get into effects, this pedal is a good way to go. Its built in a metal housing. Check it out.
