Interesting; I would have guessed they’d introduce a GA size first, hoping that they still do.

A solid-wood V-Class GP starting at $1,399 is a heck of a deal, though a GA would probably appeal to a wider range of people.

Here's my Aero Case from my new GS mini Koa plus. It is awesome. Hard sides under the soft shell.

I think the pickguard is perfect on the natural finish one!

I once owned a Taylor. I feel deep respect for the company and all the innovations Bob Taylor has done on the acoustic guitar world. This is pure genius!

Maybe. Definitely interesting that they chose to intro this new line with Grand Pacifics. Tells you how bought in they are to the GP...and how well they are selling. Another bold - and likely wise - move by Taylor.

I actually think the move is more about furthering that size since they only put I out in the 300 series and the builders editions thus far. Smart move to put it front and center.

I actually think the right NEXT Move would be to put out the 12 size since the 14 size And dreads are the only options in thr 1&200 series so they have plenty of coverage on that size but those of us who like smaller bodies would love the GC in a great value instrument.

I’m also excited to see versions without their lackluster electronics.

I think it tells you that they needed some less expensive bread & butter offerings....

Yep...and they apparently think starting off with GPs will bring the most initial success. The GPs were designed to give Taylor a broader tonal pallet and attract Martin/Gibson folks into the fold. This less expensive line broadens the reach even further for Taylor. In the end it’s always about market share...

I think it's also about putting their employees back to work after the shutdown with products that might be easier to sell than their more expensive American-made guitars. Huss & Dalton did something similar several years ago but clearly on a much smaller scale...

Notice there is no binding. I know Martin does that on some low end guitars but I am not sure I like that.
