Default Saw ZZ Top tonight

Man, those guys can still kick some major behind!!!

Great tunes, clever lyrics, thick full tone, tasty licks, funny beards and even some cool choreography!!

The Reverend didn't have any pedals in front of him. Anybody know how that works?

probably one very well seasoned soundman......seems like I remember that from "back in the day" I think I probably saw them 10 or 12 times in the 70's and early eighties and it was always a very good show......their sound was ALWAYS dead on, even when I saw them outdoors a couple of times.
Just a fun rock band to see live.....

At my home town in Lubbock, Texas.

They didn't move around much but when they did their little choreography, the crowd just went nuts. Their playing, tone and everything was just perfect. Harmonics galore! Even the jokes were danged funny!

They did Jimi's "Wild Thing" hard and heavy and a blues jam that seemed like a combo Buddy Guy to SRV to gibbons style.

I knew I was going to enjoy the show but I didn't know I'd love it!

I kept thinking someone else was helping him with the effects but it never occurred to me that it could be the soundman. That would be very logical.

In any case, they sure had a great team and pulled it together perfectly.

I'm gonna be wailing on my electrics for the next few weeks.

I saw them once....just after La Grange came out. They opened for........KISS!!! Ahh..the good old days. Pre-beards.....just a power trio in blue jeans and dirty T-shirts.
