Ana Vidovic
My wife and I just got back from watching Ana Vidovic perform in Milwaukee. It was absolutely amazing. We were only about 10 feet away from her, so I think we were hearing the guitar with out any sort of amplification. I still can’t get over how beautiful it sounded.

Wow - that must have been quite an experience!
I was just looking at her tour schedule, she jumps across the pond (back and forth) quite often!

Must have been an experience! Ana is basically the reason I picked up the Spanish guitar. Her, Julian Bream, and Paco de Lucia, that is

That must have been amazing. I am about to turn 60 and have been playing for 5 years. I grew up listening to my oldest brother play Classical Guitar. When I was 12-13 he took me to see Liona Boyd. She is known as "The first Lady of Guitar". So many amazing women artists today. I know I didn't appreciate it like at the time and would like to see another concert someday.

She's an amazingly gifted player, and always emphasizes her musicality above all else, including her stellar technique. Years ago, she was amongst a group of young classical guitarists emerging from the shadows of the greats, but she really broke away from that pack to establish herself among those greats. She's the real deal for sure. It must have been such a treat to be so close to hear her.

I’m a big fan and never miss an opportunity to see her play live. A few weeks ago I found myself unexpectedly standing a few feet from her during the intermission of a Celil Refik Kaya concert here in Philadelphia (apparently she’s a professional member of The Philadelphia Classical Guitar Society). Of course by the time I found the nerve to introduce myself, the second half of the program was starting… doot!
