Default Blues improv in C

First excursion into the nether realms outside of the key of E (in signature below). I have to work on my thumb a bit more. I keep forgetting to do the bass.

I'm learning from Toby Walker's "Blues Fingerpicking Freedom" DVD 1. I've been going over the C section a lot this week, learning my 3rds, flatted 3rds, 5ths, flatted 5ths and 6ths. I think I'm going to try to learn where they are in the Key of C up and down the neck before I get into the rest of the DVD. Doesn't make any sense to rush through it. There has to be a bunch of C F and G triads all over the neck too.

I've got the 2nd DVD too. I'll be busy for a while.

Sounds good, Barry! Might want to pull your levels up a little next time or add a compressor.

Love the guitar tone for the blues and like the beat. Good job. I found that I have to log on with "Google" to listen to Soundcloud, lol

Thanks Marty!

Re: Soundcloud; that's odd. I'm going to try from IE and see what happens.

Thank you bg63! Toby has a few new ones too that I want to buy. After my busy season or near the end anyway,

Solid rhythm, sounds good - kind of an old time 78 blues record vibe.

Nice stuff there Barry!!! That's the whole idea behind those lessons... to add some of your ideas to an established progression... and you came up with some nice ones!!! You're on your way to earning hundreds of dollars a year!!!!
