Default Fifty Up! Guild F-30. "Across The Irish Sea"...

Fifty Up! I've finally managed to upload my 50th original song on YouTube and I thought that if I may, I might share it here.

As St Patrick's Day will shortly be upon us, I've picked a song with an Irish connection, though of course it isn't a standard Irish song, but instead, one of my own.

No jigs or reels on this, nor any fancy celtic modal tuning, just a sad and simple tale of being somewhere but wishing all the time to be somewhere else.

It is called, "Across The Irish Sea". I hope you'll like it.

Best wishes...

I'm a big fan of yours... I listen to your rendition of "Raglan Road" regularly. And I've just added "Across The Irish Sea" to my list as well.

There's something about your vocals that is very touching.

And your F30 is beautiful. I've been shopping for Guilds recently as I'd like to add a couple of blingy jumbos to my collection...

In any case, very well done -- and thanks for sharing here on the AGF.

Hi JoeCharter. Thank you for your very kind comments. Really nice of you to say.

Yes, "Raglan Road" is a very sweet song, all the more so when the full tale of its history is revealed.

As for the Guild guitar, I purchased it brand new in London's Shaftesbury Avenue back in the 1970s and it must be getting close to its 40th birthday by now. I'm hoping it still has a few more songs in it.

Thank you again. Best wishes...
