Thanks John! I admire that in you also! I have a feeling we will do more together. Persimmon? Spanish Cedar?

You should consider going to Texas in your wanderings. The hill country is really pretty in the spring and you would enjoy BIG.
I'm confident of this though I have experienced neither. I think you would also enjoy Austin.
I did go to Texas last year for the inaugural BIG- and it was wonderful! I played many great guitars and Tom and Kathy are such gracious hosts! Shared an airbnb with Paul and Cindy (and a few deer), and, among other great guitars, played the Overlord (the custom you made last year for Paul). That is some wonderful instrument and I'm sure this will be also. I greatly enjoyed my BIG weekend in Texas. Just not in the cards for this year. I know it's going to be something, though and am a bit bummed about missing out....

Just say the word. I’m all out of persimmon just now but have the sister set of Spanish cedar stacked in the shop. Mesquite? Concalo alves? Kiaat?
Purty Cherry? Etc etc.

Default Cedar/Cedar

Guitars44me, I got to play your guitar the other day when I was at John's shop. He had just strung it up and the action wasn't set yet but I can say it as a sweet tone and a lovely bass. I know you will like it.

Smile Thanks Bill!!!

Thanks for the good words Bill!

John said it is ridiculously loud, and sweet. He's not a man to gush, or get excited so I have high hopes indeed!

I am jealous as I have never made the cross country trek to John's, even after having him build me FOUR custom instruments... I figured the travel costs would cut into the guitar budget!

Cheers

Paul

So I sent John the check in this envelope... SENIOR MOMENT. We were getting nervous as it took a week to come back to me!

I haven't done anything this wacky in decades, since I was roaring in Alaska. Hahahaha

Embarrassing but there it is! Whoops...

Cheers

Paul

Default Adjustment tools

I made a couple of small adjustment tools to go with this guitar

The small tool for adjusting the heights through the fretboard and the larger tool to loosen the neck.
