Well, when I listen to the voice overs on the two video clips I've posted, I realize that I'm losing the ability to have what's in my brain ... come out my mouth. I definitely could have explained this neck joint process a lot better, but what the heck.

Short of cutting the dovetail by hand (used to do that when I made mandolins), it doesn't get any more low tech and simple than this method.
