This sounds like it's going to be much more suitable for your needs.

When I first saw the "Manzer wedge" I immediately thought that it might be very comfortable for someone in a wheelchair to play. You might think about a Manzer wedge (and even with an arm bevel) for your next custom!

A quick Manzer wedge search result:

A interview with Linda Manzer discussing the origin of the wedge design:

Smile Rudy is right

The Manzer Wedge is a brilliant innovation for sure.

With a bevel or two it makes the axe into an acoustic Stratocaster ...

Nothing pokes you!

Just sayin'

That is one helluva sweet looking guitar. Can't wait to see the finished product.

The soundport is a nice add. Having played one with a port for the first time last month (thanks Paul), I would definitely have one on a custom build.

This gorgeous guitar is coming along nicely and how great it is that you are dialing in the specs that will meet your specific needs. I think that you will really like having a sound port. My most recent custom has one and I am very happy with it. I look forward to hearing more about this wonderful guitar when you get your hands on it.

Best,
Jayne

I was originally going with a Manzer wedge but ultimately decided against it for 3.75" depth all the way around, since I know I like that dimension from the Gibson Parlor I used to own. I've never played a Manzer before, so I didn't want to gamble and potentially not like it.

In the finishing phase (the light spots on the top are from the lighting):

The guitar was just delivered, it is sitting in the box getting acclimated before I open it this evening.

Here are the final shots provided to me by Sean:

B-E-A-utiful! If it sounds 1/2 as good as it looks, it will be amazing. Looking forward to your review, once it acclimates.

WOW!!!!!!
That looks amazing. Just Amazing. I really like the twist on the traditional looking head stock shape and the addition of his logo with the slight extension. Very unique.

I landed on this page after searching "gs mini cutaway". I am (possibly?) about to attempt to add a cutaway to my mini and have been looking at angles of cutaways and reading about what a terrible idea it is to try myself. And fair enough, my lutherial skill is inversely proportional to my desire. And then oh my gosh... I see your build... Wowwwww. That is one very very very nice guitar. Your specs are basically EXACTLY what I would choose... longer scale length than mini but not full, ebony fretboard, 1 11/16 nut width, bevel/s, soundport... I mean... this is literally the guitar I want in my head... right here, already in existence. Thank you (and Sean!) for bringing this to life. I am too scared to ask how much it cost. And absolutely terrified to hear how it sounds in case I spontaneously combust with envy.
