Tonewood amp volume?
I'm thinking about buying a tonewood amp but was wondering if it increases the volume or amplifies the guitar? Basically I'm looking for a mini amplifier that attaches to the guitar which is why the tonewood amp caught my eye.

Some will say it doesn't add any volume, but I find a fairly hefty increase using it in all 3 of my guitars.

I find that it can add a smidgen of volume to my quieter guitars but not enough to get worked up about.the reverb obviously give an impression of more volume but it doesn't really show any increase on my DB meter but if your playing in a quiet situation it can bring your sound forward in a passage,ie a lead or melody break.

i actually think the term amp is a misnomer. When you think about it
its not actually an amp. more of an effects generator. it may vibrate the back of the guitar a bit more in its creation of the efx. But its not really an amp. |

It has a volume and it does get a little louder but nothing that would fill a room. It's more about adding effects to the guitar. When I had mine I'd push the volume all the way up. Note that like an amplifier, the louder you push the volume the more problems you run into with feedback even at the relatively low levels.
