So far I've built electrics. A few tele's, thinlines, a strat and a Melody Maker in progress. There's a back set each of walnut & indian rosewood waiting their turn patiently on the shelf. Thinking of trying my hand at a classical and a parlor size steel string.

I Took myself out Friday night!
I was working to thin the headplate to accommodate the tuners and a laminate on the back of my headplate. I decided to try the Drill Press thickness plainer.

I built a "jig" out of wood and Green Tape to hold the neck and keep the head flat. It worked great. As I slowly slid the jig around to level the neck to the predetermined line, and WHAM. A piece of wood/sawdust went up over my glasses and in my eye. I spent an hour flushing with water, Visine..... I was done for the night. I got it clear, eye is fine. Saturday I found better safety glasses!
Last night I got the laminate on, glopped in my black epoxy idea for the transition from maple to spalted.

I started to mess with the body and knocked a glass container of Shellac on the floor. Smash. I had to quit for the night till the fumes dissipated. Jeeze, I wonder what Kinda trouble I'll create tonight

I keep telling people we are not a company. We are a two man team. I have had to forward mail to that company when it showed up in my mail box.

If I am your elected-by-default editor, young lady, then let's make that "two-person team" and not "two-man team." We simply cannot be offending the women who purchase McKnight guitars!

And John, you're on your own as to whether or not to accept my "editorial advice" -- you've yet to "kidnap" my services, as did Mary!

Has a lady ever bought a McKnight? (minus gifts for husbands) I am curious.
Kurt With my Dyslexia and your education I we ought to be able to write some dynamite country tunes!
BTW you still have one of my MJH discs!

I do at that -- and also I want to purchase some McJam photos, if that's still possible. Plus, we'll have to work on that country tune for next year's get-together at the McKnights' place! Perhaps a little narrative ditty about two mid-Ohioans in a little itty-bitty town who build cool guitars...naw, that'd never work....

If you want the photo's for the Holidays order asap. Production here is getting BIZ-E.
We'll have to figure out how to email tunes back and forth and edit. So we can sew together a tune like the big acts do!

Kurt, keep on me. Mah ingish ain't gud.

John, Yes, I do have female customers/players. One from TN, almost 20, is a bluegrasser.

Another, an adult about my age, is in a ladies group.

A few others have purchased the guitars as gifts for the husband.

Over all the men dominate.
