Really enjoy all the styles you've listed, and I'd have to add classical guitar as well. I suppose that "genuine rock & roll" as well as "real country" would be towards the bottom of my list (not meaning I don't listen to them), and the instrumental virtuoso stuff would be at the top.

I voted for the virtuoso,I`m a big Dan Crary fan,but I really should have voted other, because there`s way to many artist`s that I like.I like music from Doc Watson to Ronnie Montrose and in between.Alex Lifeson,Stevie Ray,Barry Baily-ARS,Beppe Gambette,But I`m more acoustic oriented the older I get......

I voted Singer Songwriter. Specifically Dave Matthews. It's the music that inspired me to pick up a guitar and learn to play. (at age 29) Less than a year later....so far so good!

Cool

I checked singer/songwriter because my favorite is singing and playing John Denver songs. I also like old time and 60's folk music, country songs, and some praise songs and hymns. I like a lot of different music. I get bored with the same music all the time. With me, there are only two categories of music .....songs that I like and songs that I don't like.

MAKE it a GREAT day!!!

I chose JT because it most fits the genre I prefer. However I'm into Eagles, CSN, America, Tony Rice, and a local boy named J.P. Cormier.

If any of you is into Tony Rice, you have to check out J.P. Cormier. I've mentioned this on another thread to check out his website:

http://www.jp-cormier.com

In his CD (Primary Colours - A Guitar Collection) he denotes the different guitars he uses for each cut. Its awsome. You'll love some of his other CDs as well I'm sure. He plays guitar, fiddle, mandolin, dobro, banjo, bass. If it has strings, he can play it. He writes most of the songs or tunes on his CDs except for some traditional pieces and contemporary arrangements on some old classics.

Have a go
