Sunn Solarus
Anybody here ever use a guitar amp called 'Sunn Solarus'
My grandfather gave me one back when I was playing music with him in his church band - it is a 40W Tube head (I think) and sits on top of a cabinet with 2 10 (or12?) inch drivers. The cabinet has two inputs, one for 8 ohm and one for 16 ohm, which would I use? (I think one of the inputs is for hooking up more than one cabinet?) He used it to sing through (he played saxophone, clarinet, trumpet, etc.) with his combo back in the late 60s and 70s. I believe it was manufactured in 1969 (same year I was manufactured!) I sounds great although I have to get the reverb fixed. Is this something any competent tech can fix, and how much should that repair cost? I am not interested in selling it as it has sentimental value (my grandfather passed away last fall), I'm just looking for more information about it. It is in immaculate condition and even has vinyl covers for the head and cabinet. Thanks in advance!
