Yes, there are passages where the rhythm is kind of surprising. But good for you for focusing on the rhythm, because getting it to flow right is really important to the song. Also, he does play it a little different on youtube from on the mp3 that comes with the tab---and maybe even that mp3 doesn't quite match the tab in all details. So, to be faithful to his take on the song, I wasn't too concerned with matching the tab or any one of his performances exactly either. :-)

What would make the most sense would be for the end-of-repeated-section mark to be at the end of measure 21, which is the end of the passage musically. But it is equivalent to just cross out that "2." bracket.

Thanks whoa! Yeah I was hoping it wasn't just me who thought that bracketed 2 looked out of place. It's times like this I wish I knew how to sight read. The timing is funny on this piece and if you don't get it just right, it doesn't sound like the same song.
