Default Portable Stage Lights

Looking for recommendations for an inexpensive (under $50) portable, adjustable intensity stage light for two acoustic guitars. Plug-in or battery/solar. It can sit on the ground or attach to a mic stand.

We have a regular outdoor gig that goes 7-10p. By 9:00p the sun is down and the venue offers little lighting. I struggle enough playing when I CAN see what I知 doing, darkness doesn稚 help! Thanks in advance.

"Adjustable intensity" is the kicker - most stage lights these days are LEDs, which don't offer a 'dimmer' feature, but you can set them to just have one (or 2) of the 3 colors on. The usual cheap ones have red blue and green LEDs.
I got a couple from ebay at $20 each.

I just bought a rechargeable $25 light for camping. It is small, portable and has a magnetic base. I bought a gel from the music store, traced the face of the light, cut it out, removed the screws on the face plate and added the gel.

Works great, has two light settings and fits in my guitar case.

Default lights

I use clip lights with colored bulbs. They are not as bright as regular stage lights but are a whale of a lot cheaper. I can add more it I need it brighter. You can get colors florescents, colored LEDs and even colored spotlights that will fit and all you need is something to fasten them too. A speaker stand can work.

These work well in small settings. Just do a search on Amazon for :

Warmoon LED Flood Light Bulbs Outdoor 50W RGB Dimmable 16 Colors Changing Waterproof IP66 LED Security Wall Light with Remote Control US 3-Plug

These are relatively cheap (under $50 for one - but recommend getting two.)
These are available in lower wattage, but do not get below 50W. I have two of these. They are mounted on speaker cabs that are up about 6 feet in the air and the mounts allow them to be aimed down a bit for perfect coverage. They have mounts that allow for them to be bolted into most female threaded inserts on the top of speaker cabs. White light as well as many color variations available in one unit with a remote,

Do you happen to have any pictures of your lighting setup? I知 curious as to the coverage. I知 thinking of putting one on top of a Bose L1 using one of these:

Do you use your Bose behind you? That would make for just back-lighting.

I ended up returning the outdoor light and getting a Chauvet slim par 38. I run a Stomplight as master to a Stomplight PAL as first slave ( both on the floor at 10 and 2 o clock up-lights) then to the par 38 ontop of the Bose tower angled down behind us (a duo) which makes a great down wash light.

All synchronized perfectly. Very cool.

That sounds super cool. Any chance you could post a photo of that? I know snapshots in dark and challenging light conditions often often don't accurately convey what it really looks like, but it'd still be neat to see that. Regardless, thanks for the details on your setup.
