Sure, sorry they are not showing up. They originated in Instagram and I can see them on my laptop on this page. But I have sent them to you. Let me know if you have any questions.

Looks cool. I couldn’t use a stand like that because I play the drum pads live into the looper. I’d knock that stand over. I’m almost thinking about getting a costom lid made deep enough to house a shelf with folding legs and a mixer on top.

It would be two separate pieces, but it still might work

I’m not handy enough to make anything that will look pro, so I am going to do the project in two pieces.

http://www.odysseygear.com/odyssey-p...mcx8000bl.html

Going to go with something like the Odyssey FZDNMCX8000BL on the floor and do this folding keyboard stand as my “shelf.”

http://www.gatorframeworks.com/keybo...w-utility-tbl/

Probably going to get a custom case built for the folding table so that I can have the mixer, drum machine, and power supplies for both always attached.

Trying to fit everything the same box was proving difficult. Trying to source special folding legs and build my own shelf would’ve been almost as expensive as buying this keyboard stand that I found for $80.

The DJ controller cases have the right dimensions and are low profile enough to not be too bulky.

I’m going to put a power strip on each side of the floorboard and have the keyboard stand directly above it right in front of me. If I don’t like that set up, I can always just move it over to my right.

It’s a couple more things than I wanted have to plug-in, but it’s not that big of a deal Will still take me less than five minutes to set up.

Default Who could build a custom live flight case like this?

Does the mixer have to be waist high?

Here’s a video showing how I have my drum machine on a tripod micstand that uses a Yamaha micstand mixer mount and a small plywood piece to hold it. It’s just secured with velcro.

I built my custom flight case myself using 3/8” plywood and hardware/materials from reliablehardware.com (and no, I’m not affiliated). I should probably be honest and say that after building this case with complex angles, I will NEVER build another flight case again. I’ll gladly hire someone with automated CNC’s and factory-grade equipment to make me one. This case has over 150 rivets that I popped by hand!

I have my mixer on my pedal board so that I don’t ever have to touch my mix, except for the master volume and slight low-end tweaks based on the room. I also use a Pedal Python kit to snake six total connections together:

With this setup and the pedal python (not affiliated), my setup is less than 8 minutes and breakdown is less than 4. Kind of like you described: Set PA, open pedalboard, connect power and main out XLR, done.

So I guess I’m wondering if you set your mix on your mixer during sound check, do you still need it waist high? How many times do you adjust your mix after soundcheck?

Here are a few pictures of my pedalboard flight case and my setup. The second tier of my board lifts up like a car hood and I have “always-on-never-touch” pedals under the hood (similar to the https://www.schmidtarray.com/custom boards).

You can also see that I have my mic cable and the drum machine cable coming out the side of the pedal board. Those cables never get unplugged from the mixer and looper. After the gig, I just coil up the mic and drum machine cables and set the coils on top of the pedals - but leave it plugged into the mixer and looper.

Hope this helps man. I have a really unique setup and I remember when I was building mine I couldn’t find any info on AGF nor YouTube to help me. Feel free to ask any questions you have, I’d be happy to answer if I can help. Cheers.

My man! Just ordered some pedal python off Amazon! Thank you!
The video doesn’t work, but it looks like a very cool set up. I quickly realized that trying to fit everything in one box would make the set up too heavy to handle with one person. I decided to use two separate DJ controller boxes and a folding keyboard stand.

Three bulky yet manageable pieces instead of one incredibly heavy piece. The floorboard with a cable snake running up to the mixer and drum machine. So far it’s a seven minute set up. As I start to streamline the process, I’m pretty sure I could get it down to five minutes, however the main point was being way under 30 minutes, so I succeeded.

These photos won’t imbed for some reason. Can someone help me with that please?

Everything is manageable especially with the cart. One trip in in one trip out. I’m actually having a tough time locating a flange to fit the mic stand that I bought. It’s a telescoping stand that will fit inside the controller box and at least makes a quick release flange that I am trying to order somewhere, but the rep says it’s not on the website.

This whole rig is crazy fast set up and breakdown. It sounds incredible. I even put the two way crossover on the board with the mixer.

That’s an awesome set up. I like what you did with the drum machine. I was worried about it being sturdy enough, but it looks like your method works awesome.

I like having the mixer in the drum machine right next to each other where I could reach it. I make a lot of adjustments on the fly as the room changes with the amount of people. I kind of ride my mid sweeps a lot.

I have plenty of power connections on both boards to plug-in my powered speakers in my powered sub. I even have enough ports to charge my iPad and phone while I play.

It’s inspiring to see other people tackling similar projects. Thank you guys so much. I’m sure there will be some tweaking as time goes on, but I’m very happy with the set up now. I have a few gigs on it already and I wish I would’ve done this years ago!

I have exactly what I need in the boxes. I have a little bag with some extra cables and microphones in the car.

I have a bunch of gigs on this new system now. Turns out it ended up being two flight cases, a cable snake between them, and a folding keyboard stand that is very sturdy. It’s more pieces than I originally wanted, but everything in one box would’ve been way too bulky and heavy. Pieces are manageable and everything set up in a little less then seven minutes.

For some reason, I cannot get these to embed.
