Steve, no I do not.
I do have a large bodied J-185 sized guitar in Australian Blackwood (also an Acacia) by Bruce Sexauer (below right) and I also have another 00-12 sized guitar as well, but it is Madagascar Rosewood by Mark Blanchard (below left). I have high hopes for this one. I am sure that it will bring something different to the mix...

Bushings
These Brass tuning machines were ordered with harder chromed posts. Rob Rodgers was kind enough to send two sets of bushings (brushed brass & chrome) for Michael to visually evaluate. We decided to use the brushed brass bushings with the chromed string posts. They visually tie into the brass sleeves.

After 6-weeks of the nitro drying, Michael has buffed and assembled my 00-12.

Thanks for your kind comments...
I suspect it will see strings this week. We are still awaiting the arrival of a case from Jeff Hoffee. So Michael will have plenty of time to “tweak” the guitar before it leaves his shop. We had originally chosen a Visenut, but the US distributor proved again to be completely unreliable. Jeff is now asking 12-weeks on delivery which is 2x what he used to ask so he must be busy. So changing “horses” late in the build added a month to its delivery. Quote:

I would be tempted to go there and bring it home myself in a paper bag as I would want it NOW it is so beautiful. Like Micheal said, I can hear it already and I love it!
What a beauty.

My goodness Bob. A feast for the eyes. You have some patience that’s for certain. Maybe it’s all those other gorgeous geetars you have hangin’ around. Plenty to keep you busy.

Thanks...
All too true Dennis... Leaving a new guitar with its maker for an extra few weeks to let it go through its initial transformation allows them to make informed final tweaks to the instrument.
