The sound of 2020 has a ring to it.

Maybe we will have a bell to ring that McJam in.

My goodness this could be a lot of fun. If all goes according to plan Tim will be finishing one for me sometime close to McJam 2020. You folks from Oz are welcome to give it a spin.

I love seeing fellow McJammers take delivery of a new guitar. I can’t wait to see your next build thread!

That would be great Phil. It’s been quite some time since we’ve seen you and Shirley last. You’ll have to bring that Thin Crust character along with you too.

My first visit with my grandson since picking up the Dominator at McJam 11. Here are some pics of Dominic seeing the guitar built for him.

Dominic is thinking, "Come on old man! When do I get to play it???"

FINALLY!

"Pops" explaining the significance of the straight grained Brazilian rosewood back as Dom's dad and younger brother, Eli, look on. It was Eli's birthday yesterday.

A close up of Dom's hand next to the branded pick guard. His mom (my daughter) took the picture.

A parting picture... Alas, the Dominator came home with me last night for more breaking in and recording.

That's a wonderful gift, an heirloom really, that you provided him. It's a beautiful instrument, but it makes me really think about my guitars going to my kids, and how much more they'll mean to them. Very special.

Getting a close up look at his and your smiles make such a sweet picture. It is true that as much as it means to you now it will mean so much more to him later. When he is your age ... in 100 years ... he will be telling so many stories about his love for you and in time the dedication of the McKnight guitar where you and Kathy were pushed into helping me coordinate the extra activities at the McJams will be a special memory, too.

Thanks for sharing these pictures with us, Rodger. I might pick on you, but really, you are one special guy to us.

Mary! I was about to comment on the crack about being 100 years old, but you made up for it at the end. Thanks! You guys are very special to Kathy and I, too!

Thanks for the compliment, Dennis! I don't feel a day over 95!

Mike: let the kids know the importance of each instrument. If you have a guitar that seems to be the one songs are written on, they should know.

Rodger, the one guitar that will be fought over is my 1979-80 Takamine dread. It finished high school with me, went through college, survived my first marriage and was a key part of the courtship of my wife/their mom. I’m very fortunate to have some very nice guitars, but that (currently) has the history. Thanks!
