I have 6 acoustics and 2 electrics. I have 4 acoustics that I rotate through. Different one every day.

One electric and one acoustic that I have made projects of.

I have the 9 listed in my signature. My "stable" has doubled in the past year or two with 2 PRS's, 2 Yammies, an Ovation that was gifted to me, and my Emerald CF guitar.

To answer the question of whether that number will rise or fall, I am not sure. I have no plans for more and one is for sale as it wasn't getting played enough. I know there are 2 others that I ought to do the same with.

On the other hand, I have said to myself that if I happened across one which tonally absolutely blew my socks off (and met my other criteria), I might buy it. But I am not actively searching for this, just keeping my eyes open.

Well,.........I have one more then the limit I set for my self, so one is going up for sale. I’m just having a hard time deciding on which one.

To compound this issue i saw a really nice Martin D41 burst for sale yesterday (on the Forum). Unfortunately, it’s still available. Someone buy it please!!!

I own four - 2 acoustics and 2 semi-hollow body electrics. I have a rotation where I play a different one each day, so each one gets a good amount of love and play time.

6 “stupid guitars”’as my wife calls them.

3 nice acoustics, 2 beater acoustics, and a Fender Telecaster.

I could probably do without the beaters and would consider selling/trading the Taylor, but I’m keeping my D-18 and HD-28. And I’ll probably hold on to the Tele “just in case” I’m ever in another band.

More than I really need I'm sure, 6 acoustics and 3 electrics. But every time I think about thinning out the heard to just a few, I dont.
I love playing them all for various reasons. But I really could get by with just 8 of them.....

I have 11.
I have one for sale at the moment.

But I would like to be down to about 5.

I’m a player and a collector.
I rescue guitars like my sister-in-law rescues dogs.

I have too many. It is time to sell a few but I don't know which ones to give up.

I play them all in a rotation except for the baritone 12-string. With my arthritis it is difficult to play that one lately. I notice that I am playing my smaller guitars longer.

Some of my guitars are in California at my son's house. We visit often and to keep from traveling with a guitar I keep several out there.

A bunch of Taylors and a couple of Rainsongs. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it - until further notice that is....

I'll do my breakdown:

2 nicer Martin Acoustics: play both everyday
1 cheap x series Martin: only play when it's really hot for outside gigs
2 electric guitars: play when I have electric band gigs 6-10x a year
1 bass guitar: play once every 10 years or so
2 cheap acoustic guitars: 1 strung nashville occasionally 1 I don't play anymore saved for campfire.
