Default Truss Rod Maintenance

This may be a dumb question, but, as an infamous national tabloid use to say: "Enquiring minds want to know." So, here goes:

Can a truss rod be lubricated to make adjustment easier? If so, how do you perform this maintenance task and what kind of lubricant should be used?

I'm specifically referring to two way rods accessible through the sound hole.

TIA for your help.

No, two way truss rods cannot be lubricated post fitment, if they are tight when adjusting, loosen your strings off and adjust and then retune,

12 strings, / Bass's and Rickenbakers I recommend adjusting with strings detuned
