Default 2024 Collings D1

Up for sale is a mint-condition 2024 Collings D1! Here’s the demo video:

I was really impressed when I played this at Gruhn Guitars recently, so I had to go for it. I used it for a couple gigs recently (miked up – there is no pickup installed in the guitar), and it sounded awesome. However, another pretty big vintage purchase is prompting me to list it. I’ve played many Collings guitars, and this D1 is as smooth-playing and responsive as they get! It really is a beautiful-sounding guitar.

It features a Sitka spruce top (with a little bearclaw figuring), mahogany back/sides, 1 23/32” nut width, and ebony bridge and fingerboard. As mentioned above, it is in absolutely mint condition and comes with its original Collings case and spec card. Asking $4,500 plus shipping.

Default ?

Forrest, do you think this guitar is even broken in? I have the Tone Traveler and have used it on all of my guitars and cello, mando, and uke and it has significantly opened them all up. Anyway I have always wanted a Collings D1. I had a D2 but it was and older model Bill signed and it was a quality guitar it just didn't shine in anyway. Your thoughts ? Karl

Thanks so much Brencat! And Karl, I don't believe this guitar has really broken in yet -- it's very new. It already sounds awesome, and it will continue to open up with more playing hours!
