Default Heinonen SJ adi/madi

I am working with Drew on an SJ cutaway with a master grade adi top paired with madi back and sides. I must say he is an absolute joy to work with! He is so thorough and asks you questions that are super helpful. I’ve been in this process for a little bit so I well post pics of current progress. No hurry on delivery since I’ve wanted an SJ since 1993 when I saw Wes King play an Olson live. I’ve waited this long so I’m good with Drew taking his time!

Master grade top Drew has commented several times on how pleased he is with it.
Radial with b/s through the sound hole. Yes thats Madi in the radial!

Default Got one too

Just took delivery about a week ago of a SJ Cedar/EIR. Has that same rosette, really stands out in person. One of the easiest to play guitars I've had.

And yes Drew was easy to talk with, went the extra mile in the final setup to meet my specific specifications. And follows up to make sure things came out exactly right.

Awesome! I’d love to see pictures of it! Good to hear on the playability. I guess coming from Jim Olson’s shop making easy to play guitars becomes second nature.

Default Heinonen SJ adi/madi

EIR binding. Drew pointed out to me to check out how that little bit of naphtha made the top look. Not sure how well it shows here.

Thought I’d post some progress. Drew said he’s getting close to spraying finish and I couldn’t be more excited!
