Default Soundhole Supressor

Does anybody have any suggestions for a company that makes a soundhole supressor/ feedback buster for a nonstandard 4” soundhole for an acoustic guitar?

The standard 4” Planet Waves/Dadarrio is too large to fit the into the 3 7/8” soundhole of a Collings OM2H. Trust me, I tried.

Thanks in advance.

The soundhole in my Martin CEO7 is small. So I used a rubber suppressor and cut a pie-shaped wedge out of it using an X-Acto knife. Still works fine.

The cut removes about 1 inch of the outside edge and the pie slice goes almost all the way across but stops about 1 inch from the opposite edge.

Lute Hole makes very pretty, and expensive, soundhole covers of different sizes. They can certainly accommodate yours. Well worth checking out.http://lutehole.com

They don't make one for the CEO7

Just measured my two...

The old one for my Tak, measures 100mm / 4" across the inside plug.

The new one for my Maton 808 is 950mm / 3 3/4".

Might work for you.

Kris

They can/will. Look under "Customize" where they say: "We make just about ANY size or shape soundhole cover".

I did. Measured twice. They sent one. Wasn't even close. I gave up.

Hi, were you ever able to find a good fitting 3 7/8 soundhole cover? I have an Collings OM2H with the same predicament, plus I have a small K&K dual volume knob tab Velcro’s at the top lip of the soundhole i’ll need access to. That, I can carve away. The issue is I can’t find anything that will fit this OM2 size at all. Everything is too large. Thank you in advance!

I have a Martin OM and I did the pie-cut on a larger plug and it works fine.

Search “Maton” soundhole covers. Don’t even waste your time with Lutehole. They were a nightmare to work with and sent out 3 covers that never fit. Fine looking coasters, though.

Also, there is a cover on Amazon that goes for $5-$6 that fits your OM. I think it’s called a “G5”.
