Default New song ready for the studio?

Hi All,

Written this week....So a full band version is currently underway by my Nashville guys.

But here is the original Acoustic/Vocal/BGV's to see where the tune is at.....Any thoughts?

First love, last love
© 2019 Steve Altonian

Moonlight dances upon your hair
Your eyes light up the sky
You slip your hand inside of mine
You hold me tight and smile a little smile

I feel your heart beating underneath my skin
I kiss your tender lips and whisper in your ear

First love, last love
Sharing dreams and memories
First love, last love
Sometimes baby, love is meant to be

I’ve come to call you my best friend
You’re a candle to my soul
A yellow rose in the desert snow
I have grown from the seeds you’ve sown

Girl you know me a bit better than myself
You gently show me exactly who I am

First love, last love
Sharing dreams and memories
First love, last love
Sometimes baby, love is meant to be

BRIDGE
Still can taste that first kiss
It gets sweeter and sweeter all the time
You’re my favorite song
My love keeps burning strong…….for you

First love, last love
Sharing dreams and memories
First love, last love
Sometimes baby, love is meant to be
Sometimes baby, love is meant to be...

I like it....recording and mixing is nicely done, as are the vocal harmonies. Good lyrics..good writing. Thanks for sharing it!

Whatever. I have gotten zero responses at times and several at other times.
BTW this counts as a response to your thread.
P.S. I see you just deleted your prior complaint post but I leave my post anyway.

Hey it's better than the response I got at the gym this morning...I think I was upset about that & this just frustrated me more.

Like you said whatever......

Hi Steve. Wished I could write but not to be. I really like the chord structure & the lyrics seem genuine. Get em' coming.

Hi Jimmy,

Thanks for the input. For the full band version my Producer has a different idea for the BGV's. I love em, but he feels for modern Country it is "dated". I did hire a female BGV for him to utilize...I guess I need to hear the rythm track before deciding which way to go. I may add mine before she does if I'm feeling adventurous and then we can pick and choose

We shall see....Thanks for listening

Thought that was really nice, Steve. I'm generally partial to instrumental tunes in contrast to a full blown vocal piece, but I'm glad I listened to this one. Liked everything about it...will be interesting to see where it ends up when finished!

Good Steve!

Like MikeMcKee I gravitate towards instrumentals. I have had stuff get lost in the shuffle here as well. Overall though the forum is good for feedback.
