Replacing Wiring Clips for Acoustic Pickups
The two wiring clips that hold the wires coming from my soundhole pickup and undersaddle pickup to the body as they run to the endpin jack are worn out and need to be replaced. They're these kind:https://bit.ly/2ETXyFK
I feel like I can stick my hand in there and stick some new ones on as easily as anyone else can, but how do I go about removing the old ones? Edit: Also, any tips for applying new ones? Do I stick it on and then wrap it around the wires, or wrap the wires and then stick it on? Last edited by jacm81; 03-12-2019 at 06:39 AM. |

Reach in and gently peel it.

I don't need to heat it up first or anything?

I attach to the wire before placing a clip.

They've been opened and closed multiple times as different pickups have been installed and removed. The aluminum is fatigued and will no longer stay wrapped.
