Default What is Siris back and sides? (Martin 000-13E)

I was looking at the 000-13E Road Series Martin and it has Siris back and sides. I've never heard of that wood! How does it compare to Rosewood or Walnut? Have any of you heard of Siris?

On Maury's Music web site
Siris Martin Guitars
"As a species Siris is related to and shares many tonal characteristics with Koa. Siris offers a clear, balanced tone which falls somewhere between Rosewood and Mahogany in both volume and amount of overtones."

Funny but thats exactly what they say about Koa - but honestly
Koa is its own animal - not between the two. Thou i love my Goodall AKS becasue its a different animal , i feel rather than trying to find something in the middle
Id rather have two guitars that are at both ends of the spectrum -
To sum it up - i hate things that are hybred -neither one or the other -
