Default NGD! Video

NGD
So I had ordered an Emerald for my birthday. Despite all the recent horror stories regarding shipping I thought it might arrive the Tuesday night before my birthday on the 13th. Tracking shows that’s what was going to happen. Guitar never made it, was told yesterday it was in Belgium and hung up in customs. Today my wife comes to get me to tell me I need to go outside and lo and behold there was the FedEx man with my new guitar. He was scratching his head too. This is my first carbon fiber guitar and I could not be happier with the instrument and with my interaction with the great folks at Emerald. At first blush it sounds similar to my Gibson J 45 custom. It is a bit muted but has enough growl that you feel it in your belly while playing. Plugged up through my T-Rex acoustic pedal I am more than happy with the sound through my PA. I am going to go to the studio tomorrow to record Zepplin’s Going to California with several different parts all played on the X20 to send to Emerald. Not that my version will be groundbreaking but, after spending time on their website, this just appears the thing that new owners do.

Congratulations on a beautiful guitar! The delivery went well and it's always nice when you have one of those "can't get happier" moments. Enjoy, I look forward to hearing about the two of you Going to California.

All the wood veneer tops on Emerald guitars look great, but the coco topped ones are just plain sexy! Have fun!

Congrats on your new Emerald, Ruppster and happy birthday!

Your pics remind me of that old advertisement "I can't believe it isn't butter". Your pics re showing a wood guitar, even if it is carbon fiber.

Bee-you-tee-full. One of the best I have seen. Play the heck out of it...and play it always in good health.

Great looking guitar. Love how the lighter colored sapwood "arrow" on the headstock ties in with the veneer on the body.

Have fun with it.

Thanks, Kramster. Your name comes up quite a bit on this forum. I'm hoping to go into the studio today to cut a little video for the Emerald website. Very pleased with the guitar so far, though the neck is a little blocky for me. Already thinking about the next Emerald and may ask your opinion down the road if you don't mind.

Great job man. You’re a great singer too!

Enjoy that guitar. It looks like you’re off to a great start with it.
