SOLD - Eastman AR 680CE Pisano Signature Archtop
Letting go of my last archtop. Due to aging issues, I’ve had to drop down to smaller guitars. If Epiphone ever gets an Olympic reissue right, I’ll try an archtop again. For now, here is my 2014 Pisano AR680CE in very good condition. Weighs 5 lbs 11 ozs and comes with a hard shell case. Very light fret wear and neither I nor the original owner were smokers. The all solid wood guitar sounds good unplugged even with the shallower 2.74” body depth. Plugged in, the 12 pole Kent Armstrong Pisano pickup lets you control the string balance very well. The tone is a little more acoustic and woody as you would expect from a carved spruce top and carved mahogany sides and back.
The only issue is an expertly repaired small crack in the top near the tail piece and a scratch (see picture). It was that way when I bought it and my luthier confirmed it was a minor crack, properly repaired and a non issue for the future. Other than that, only minor light wear here and there. Nothing that shows up on the pictures. There are lots of videos out there to hear how it sounds, including one of John Pisano playing it unplugged. Did you specifically wait until today, the day I sold another guitar, to post this thing which I have no business buying but always wanted?
Not cool dude...not cool. |

Timing is everything Pete. I try not to give in to GAS until I've followed the "one in, one out" rule, but sometimes there is just a great opportunity and I end up figuring out what to move to make room for the new guy. Let me know if you succumb.
