Not sure if that's a redwood top. I think it's the lighting playing tricks on us!

As many of you heard, Jason is quite the player and he has studied with Micheal Hedges (my favorite). Here are some pictures of some of his guitars!

Wish I was able to make it up there this year. Had a list minute conference over the weekend that will keep me away this year. Glad to see the Santa Barbara festival taking shape though.

That BRW looks so perfectly quartered it's unreal.

Very jealous. Indeed, perhaps most jealous that you got to spend time in Jason's man cave. Having somewhere like that to retreat to can only be a distant dream for the rest of us. Frankly, I'm amazed he gets out long enough to build guitars.

Jason says that this set of wood is probably the most straightest quartered sawn Brazilian he's used

PS: I am also looking forward to an excruciatingly tense, protracted and exciting build up to the NGD at Woodstock, just like we got with your MD. We want fever pitch!

The top is amazing and has great silking to it. And Jason's rosettes are really amazing. He said he was moving toward darker colors since he believes they will fade less over time.
