No the size is OK with the Epiphone. I just need them to fit better. As for tools I don't want to buy a Dremel just to work on the pins so I was wondering if any other regular tools I could use.

If you haven't got any, buy some sandpaper!

You could try small needle files but they're pretty awkward.
