Kronbauer SJ Cedar top cutaway ****traded****
***traded***
Here is my Kronbauer TDK mini Jumbo cutaway. This has a cedar top (which Trevor replaced early last year) with stained maple back and sides. A wonderful sounding instrument that I am in no hurry to sell. Very nicely set up with easy playing action. Please ask any and all questions.* Shipping is $100 conusa.* USPS no longer allows for priority for the size of this* package. UPS will be the shipper which Reverb contracts with at this time. Top was replaced because of slight bulging from lifting of off of the braces around the bridge. I took it to my tech who stabilized them and added a brace. But he told me that I should only use extra light strings. I wrote Trevor Kronbauer and told him what I had done and told him that extra light strings would make the guitar sound too thin. He said he would put a new top on which he did. It took about 6 months. No other issues. I have a video which I will put up. The guitar has woody sound due to the cedar /mahogany combo. It is much like a cedar / mahogany. It favors the mids and highs. The bass is nice but not like spruce/ rosewood. Trevor Kronbauer told me I could use medium strings if I wanted on his guitar but with cedar light is my limit. The frets have very slight wear in the top three frets. Upper bout - 11 3/4 in. Waist - 9 3/4 in. Lower bout - 16 1/8 in. Body length - 20 1/8 in.* > Fret scale 25 9/16 in. > Nut- 1 3/4 in. > Bridge pin spacing- 2 1/4 in. > Bone nut and saddle > Ebony fingerboard and bridge > Hardshell case Pics and video at Reverb Kronbauer TDK Mini Jumbo with venetian cutaway Cedar https://reverb.com/item/17551728-kro...m_medium=share Last edited by richt54; 03-21-2019 at 04:00 PM. Why was the top replaced?
Hi richt54,
Potential buyers might be wondering why the top was changed out on what appears to be a relatively recent build. Was it damaged or play wear or ??? Trevor's guitars play well above their price point. GLWTS.

As the owner of 2 of Trevors SJs, one of which is Cedar/Maple, this looks like a steal at this price! They do indeed play above their price point, as Howlin Bob notes. My Ced/Map TDK convinced me that not all Maple acoustics, well, sucked; a belief developed after years of trying dozens of them from a wide range of makers. Good luck with the sale!

Having recently grabbing a adi/maple from Trevor Kronbauer I can safely say Trevor knows what he's doing with maple. Not "bright" whatsoever but very fundamental in tone. Great price on another of my favorite builders! Rich is a great guy to deal with too!
