Anyone recognize this tablet and holder/stand?
This is from Chris Thile Live From Here.
I'm guessing the tablet is an iPad Pro 12.9, but not sure. I really like that the holder and stand. Anyone know what these are?

If it is on a stand it looks like the CTA digital to me. They also have a gooseneck model.

Not only her - but nearly every player in the house band has the same clip+iPad Pro 12.9" + pencil. They replaced all the floor level monitors and hard copy music stands with them. I own the one Howard posted, and I run it with an extender arm clipped to the mic stand. It works fine with my iPad Pro 12.9", but I'm curious about the one "hooked" linked. I have seen the one I own with several different company logos, and suspect they all come from a single company. It is decent and trustworthy, but not as hearty as sometimes I'd like. I like that when I slide the corners in tighten them, they are in a firm groove which holds them well but doesn't not over-tighten and dent cases. The center pivot joint has enough friction at present (mine is about 13 months old), but I don't think it's going to be viable in another 2 years of regular use. But at $20 for one and $35 for 2 on Amazon it's easy enough to have a spare stored in my music room. Live From Here players are running theirs tethered to a charging cable…some are tethering over the top and others from below. I run untethered, but then I am not doing a 2½ hour live show plus practice ahead of time. I'm wondering which software they are using. They are displaying full scores, which ForScore is built for, as well as lyric sheets. It's the best with reading and transitioning through scores. Not sure if I've caught any of them using pedals to advance scores (and I have seen them tapping the screen like I do to advance songs). Each singer/player manages his/her own iPad. There are a couple of band members (regulars) who have their own (previously owned) iPads, so their mounts and screen sizes differ. I suspect the iPadPros used for the broadcast belong to NPR and travel with the show…because the same artists posting other concerts in the region during the overlapping time periods are not using iPads in those venues/concerts. I'm excited NPR finally did this… Live From Here on YouTube have just recently started posting full shows (instead of single song clips) for this season. They are a lot of fun to watch live…Previously they broadcast it the show on Saturday afternoon, and posted the full show for about 2-3 days and then broke them into a handful of individual artists/songs on YouTube and removed the full show. |

Why doesn't she have the one you can connect to your mic stand? I don't know, but 1,, you dont have to buy another stand and 2 ,,,you don't have to carry and load that extra gear.

I use this. It’s what I’d consider sleek and well thought out. I attach it to my hotspot monitor stand (mic stand with adapter for the monitor to sit on) and have had no issues with it whatsoever. I run OnSong and love the simplicity of this setup.
I simply remove it, and take it in my small gear bag along with my iPad and Airturn if playing out. The one pictured from the OP looks waayyyy to obtrusive, and not sleek in the least bit. At least to me. YMMV, IMHO, etc. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/det...r-tablets-ipad

Probably because the one you pictured doesn't fit a 12.9" iPad Pro. The ones they use look fine on our 56" TV in the living room. I agree with whomever asked about running them from a gooseneck. It's an extra piece of gear. But from their perspective it replaced an extra wide music stand in front of every person with all the scores and charts sitting on them (which had to be loaded by stage hands several times during the show) and 55" LCD monitors at their feet all over the stage for lyrics. |

Ahhh...You are correct, Sir. I’ve not progressed to that size IPad. I could’ve sworn that they made the one I’d listed in a larger model. Regardless, my apologies. Regarding the gooseneck...agreed. Those that attach to the mic stand are great as they don’t add another piece of equipment to precious stage “real estate”. At least for us. We have 12 folks involved so space is always something I’m considering.
